Born Bone Idol

In 1992 wanting to do my own thing and with a passion for surfing and the sea, I started designing t-shirts. I gave some to friends and sold some mail order and to the underground surf network in Brighton.

I was lucky to meet up with Cliff Cox local surf legend, who helped me get the name out when he won the English Masters surf championships and was chosen as a member of the English surf team.
I opened the beach front store in Brighton in May 1995 and the brand grew from t-shirts to include a full clothing range for men, women and children, including our own surfboards, skateboards and accessories.

Made good to last long!

Bone Idol is a small fish in a big sea, and and we are still doing are own thing.
From designing our clothes here on the beach in Brighton to manufacturing them on the tropical island of Bali.
We try to create classic styles and great quality clothing, that transcend the quick turnover of throw away fashion.
We have a close relationship with our suppliers, many family businesses who we have known for a long time. We personally oversee manufacture, and are happy that the people involved get a fair wage and work in a good environment. Our fabrics are hand printed and air dried.

Bone Idol clothes are unique!

Some will keep you warm and some will keep you cool.
We hope they share some good times with you, when you are doing your own thing.
